Peppermint grows very well in a container. When growing in confined spaces, Mint should be divided regularly, to prevent overcrowding. The best way to grow it is in a 5 gallon bucket with the bottom cut out, sunk into the ground to within 2" or 3" of the rim. Make sure drainage is adequate and that the plant doesn't get root bound.
